Co-jewelry designers Susan Arena and Andrea Nevins
are sisters-in-law, mothers, and Harvard graduates who
bring extraordinary visual skills, accomplishments and
travels into their new venture. Arena is a painter and
illustrator whose work has been exhibited nationwide.
She has, since childhood, been a collector of indigenous
ornamentation and talismans. Nevins is an Academy-
Award-nominated filmmaker, photographer and writer
whose jewelry dreams were inspired as a child by the
magic of the Kulicke Cloisonne Workshop in New York
City where her mother studied the craft of ancient,
classical jewelry making.
Arena Nevins Fine Jewels was born out of the pair’s love
of jewelry that feels rich in history, texture and color and
evocative of faraway places. The two collectively have
traveled to Egypt, India, Morocco, Greece, Cambodia,
Vietnam and Bali and their reverence for the art and
adornment of these cultures is clearly illuminated in the
gold work, color choice and imagery of their pieces.
Arena and Nevins are committed to several health and
environmental causes and plan to donate a portion of
their profits to such charities.
